ma: finally a friendly face!

bob: [who’s just standing there looking at me]

ma: i saw vranessa the other day…it feels like home now!

bob: is this your daughter? [points at me]

ma: sure is!

bob: it’s been forever since i’ve seen her

ma: she worked at kroger you know, back when she was a freshmen

me: sophomore, ma.

ma: oh, sophomore!

bob: wow, she looks just like kyle [my dad]. but much prettier than kyle!

me: well thank you, i’d hope so!

and we all laughed.

its so funny, because back when i was litterally over 200 pounds, he told my mother i was going to be a heart breaker with how pretty i was going to be. well, i guess i surpassed his expectations. he used to work with my dad a looooong time ago. so he’s watched me grow up, save for the past 5 years or so.
